The Best Lead Generation Campaign We Have Ever Built
Over the years we have explored many ways of building leads. Each lead campaign we design is always custom tailored to its unique circumstances.
One campaign that generated the most leads at the best cost per lead rate is an online quiz that we are currently running for one of our customers. The recipe is rather simple!
Step One: Educate
Online marketing usually consists of letting people know about the unique features of your product/service. You want the audience to understand why they should purchase your service, because you are convinced that it solves a problem for them.
In this case, we created a short video that explains the main features of our customer’s service. The key is to keep it short! Internet users are very impatient. Consuming your message, whether it means reading a post, or watching a clip, should take no more than 1 – 3 minutes. Below is the animation we have used:
Step Two: Quiz
Gamification is a smart strategy that can be used in numerous circumstances. A quiz with immediate feedback is a fun way to challenge people to test their knowledge. Quizzedmeet a natural need for play, and you get them to process your message consciously. Win-win!
Again, most of your users will be very impatient. The quiz needs to be reasonably short and easy to take.
Step Three: Reward
Nothing in life is for free, and neither is a lead. You should reward people for their time and their data. Luckily, you don’t have to reward everyone, although that would certainly boost participation.
In our example, we chose to draw one lucky winner who will win a $50 H-E-B gift card. It’s important to pick a relevant gift that motivates your audience. In Texas, H-E-B almost has a cult-like following, which is why we chose it.
Cost Per Lead: $1.50
This method of lead generation is extremely effective and has produced about 70 leads within only three days. At $1.50 cost-per-lead, the return-on-investment (ROI) of this campaign is exceptional!
Make sure to make your leads sticky by adding them to your mailing list and tagging them with your tag management tool of choice!
